About this policy

This policy explains what the VirtualCloud website at virtualcloud.in stores in your browser and which other services your browser connects to while you use it. It is published by [Registered company name] ("VirtualCloud", "we", "us") and sits alongside our Privacy policy, which covers the personal data we collect when you contact us, open an account or buy a service.

It doesn't cover the client area, control panels or webmail you sign in to as a customer. Those are described in Signed-in services below.

Cookies and browser storage, briefly

Cookie
A small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It's sent back to the website with every request, which is why cookies are often used to recognise and track visitors.
Local storage
Space in your browser where a website can keep small settings. Unlike a cookie, it isn't sent to the website's server; it stays on your device until you or the website clear it.
Session storage
The same idea, but cleared automatically when you close the browser tab.
Strictly necessary
Storage a feature you're using can't work without, such as remembering that you chose the dark theme.
Analytics and advertising
Storage used to measure visitors or target advertising, often by third parties. Our website uses none.

What our website stores

The website saves only the items below, each one only when you use the feature it belongs to. All of them are strictly necessary for that feature, none of them identifies you, and none is sent to our servers. That's why we don't show a consent banner for them.

The last column checks this browser right now. Use the buttons to remove a single item, or everything at once.

This check needs JavaScript. With JavaScript turned off, the website stores nothing at all.

Clearing these items never affects your account, your services or anything you've bought. The website simply goes back to its defaults: the light theme, an empty recent list in the site search and unticked checklists.

What we don't use

  • No cookies of any kind on the website, including "essential" session cookies.
  • No analytics: no Google Analytics, no tag managers, no visitor counters that run in your browser.
  • No advertising: no ad pixels, conversion tags or retargeting.
  • No social-media widgets or embedded share buttons that load scripts from social networks.
  • No session recording, heatmaps or mouse tracking.
  • No fingerprinting or any other way of recognising your browser across visits or across websites.

Our web servers keep standard access logs, such as IP address, time, page requested and browser type, to keep the site secure and working. Those logs are covered by the Privacy policy; they don't involve your browser storing anything.

Services your browser connects to

To load the website, or when you use one of its tools, such as the free WHOIS and DNS tools, your browser fetches some resources directly from other services. Like any web request, these share your IP address and basic browser details with that service. None of them is used for tracking by us, and we don't ask them to set cookies.

Third-party services the website's pages connect to

Each of these services handles requests under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites, for example a registry's page, only connect you to that website if you click them.

Signed-in services

When you sign in to the client area, a control panel such as cPanel or WHM, or webmail, that application sets strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect its forms from forgery. They're deleted when you sign out or when the session expires, and they aren't used for analytics or advertising. Payment pages run by our payment partner may set their own cookies to process and secure your payment, under that partner's policy.

How to clear or block site storage

The quickest way is the Clear everything button in the table above. You can also do it in your browser, where you'll see the website listed as virtualcloud.in:

Where to clear site data in common browsers
BrowserWhere to find it
ChromeSettings › Privacy and security › Site settings › View permissions and data stored across sites
EdgeSettings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data › See all cookies and site data
FirefoxSettings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data › Manage Data
Safari on MacSettings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
Safari on iPhone and iPadSettings › Apps › Safari › Advanced › Website Data
Chrome on AndroidSettings › Site settings › All sites › virtualcloud.in › Delete

Menu names change between browser versions; your browser's help pages have the current steps. A private or incognito window clears everything when you close it. If you block site storage for virtualcloud.in, the website still works: it just won't remember your settings between pages.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because the website doesn't track you, there's nothing for these browser signals to switch off: you get the same no-tracking website whether or not you send them.

Changes to this policy

If a new feature needs to store something in your browser, we'll add it to the table above before it goes live. If we ever wanted to use analytics or advertising tools, we would first ask for your consent, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires, and update this page. The current version is always here with its "Last updated" date.
