Our engineers copy your websites, databases and mailboxes from your current host, test everything on a temporary URL and switch DNS only when you approve. Free on web, WordPress and reseller hosting, and for one site or server with every VPS.

Files, databases, mail, DNS and SSL, moved together
Files are the easy part. We also bring across the databases, mail, DNS records and certificates that usually break when people move hosts on their own.
Full cPanel accounts
If your current host runs cPanel, we restore a complete account backup so everything arrives in one piece, with the same usernames and folder layout you already know, whether it's one site or every client on reseller hosting.

WordPress
WordPress from any host
Managed WordPress hosts, page-builder sites and WooCommerce stores. We move files and the database, replace URLs safely inside serialised data, then check wp-admin, permalinks and caching. WordPress hosting →
SFTP · SSH
Non-cPanel hosts
Plesk, DirectAdmin, hPanel or a bare server: we copy files over SFTP or SSH (plain FTP when that's all there is), export each database and rebuild the settings in cPanel.
IMAP
Email, synced twice
Folders, sent mail and read/unread flags are copied mailbox by mailbox, then synced again after MX records move, so mail that arrives during the switch isn't lost.
DNS
DNS zone rebuilt
A, CNAME, MX and TXT records, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC, recreated on our nameservers, along with third-party records such as site-verification TXT or an external mail provider's MX.
SSL
Certificates re-issued, not forgotten
Free AutoSSL certificates are issued for every domain and subdomain as soon as DNS points to us. If you bought a paid certificate elsewhere, we re-key and install it, or you can move to one of ours from ₹799/yr + GST.
How it works
How free website migration works, in three steps
You tell us what's moving and approve the result. Everything in between is our job, tracked on a single support ticket.

How long it takes
The clock starts once we have working access to your old host.
What's moving
Typical turnaround
How we schedule it
1 cPanel site
Within 24 h
Starts as soon as access is confirmed on the ticket.
Up to 10 cPanel sites
Within 48 h
Moved together, then tested site by site before you switch.
10+ sites, or a non-cPanel source
Scheduled window
Agreed with you on the ticket, usually in batches, with DNS switches planned per batch.
VPS: one site or server
24–48 h
Starts once your VPS is provisioned and the stack to move is agreed.
Turnaround is a target, not a guarantee. Very large sites (tens of GB of files, or mailboxes over 10 GB) are copied in rounds; we'll tell you on the ticket before we start if a move will take longer.
Supported hosts
Migrate from cPanel, Plesk, hPanel or plain SFTP
If you can log in to it, we can usually move it. cPanel accounts transfer whole; from other panels we copy each part separately and rebuild it on our side.
Running a custom stack (Node.js, Docker, a self-managed server)? Choose Other in the form and describe it. For a VPS we plan that move with you.

Six things to have ready
None of these take long, and each one saves a round of back-and-forth on the ticket. Tick them off here, or print the list and keep it next to you.
Two minutes now. An engineer picks it up from there.
Usually within 2 hoursAn engineer replies on a support ticket. Two hours is our standard first-response target, around the clock.
Access, the safe wayWe ask for your old host's login inside that ticket, where it stays out of email threads and chat logs.
Copy and test24–48 h for most cPanel moves; larger or non-cPanel moves get a scheduled window.
Your go-aheadYou check the copy on a temporary URL, then DNS switches at a time you choose.
Don't send passwords here. We'll request access through a secure ticket once we've read your request.
No VirtualCloud plan yet? Send the form anyway and we'll recommend one sized for what you're moving, or compare web hosting plans first.

FAQ
Website migration FAQs: downtime, email, DNS and the old host
Still unsure? Write to support@virtualcloud.in and an engineer will look at your setup before you buy anything.
Related guides
No downtime is planned. Your old site keeps serving visitors until DNS changes, and by then the copy on VirtualCloud has already been tested. While DNS propagates, some visitors reach the old server and some the new one, but both serve the same site. For stores and busy forms we agree a short pause on new content and run a final sync.
No. We copy every mailbox over IMAP before the switch and sync again after MX records point to us, so mail that lands on the old server in between is picked up. The one exception is mail a device downloaded over POP3 and deleted from the server; it only exists on that device, so tell us if anyone uses POP3.
No, but it changes the schedule. Sites with tens of GB of files, large databases or very large mailboxes are copied in rounds (a first full copy, then incremental syncs) in a window we agree on the ticket. Check that the plan you pick has room: Orbit, for example, has 50 GB of NVMe storage and 400,000 inodes.
If your domain is registered with us, or you give us access to your DNS on the ticket, we make the change at the time you choose. Otherwise we send you the exact records to update at your registrar (see how to point your domain to VirtualCloud). Either way, lower the TTL to 300 seconds a day before so the switch takes effect quickly.
Your old hosting stays untouched until you cancel it, so a rollback is just a DNS change. Report anything odd on the same ticket and the engineer who did the move will fix it. We suggest keeping the old account for at least a week after the switch.
Yes. There's no migration fee on web, WordPress and reseller hosting (every cPanel-to-cPanel site on your account) or on a VPS (one site or server). You pay only for your VirtualCloud plan, and the money-back policy still applies: 30 days on hosting and email, 7 days on VPS.
Yes, one site or server per VPS is free. On a VPS with cPanel/WHM, accounts transfer just as they do on shared hosting. On a plain Linux VPS we copy the site's files, databases and configuration onto the stack we agree with you. More complex setups with several services or containers are planned on the ticket. See VPS plans.
One cPanel site is usually done within 24 hours and up to ten sites within 48 hours, counted from when we have working access to the old host. More than ten sites, or sources without cPanel, are moved in a scheduled window agreed with you.
Only after you've confirmed everything works on VirtualCloud and DNS has fully switched. Some hosts delete data the moment an account is cancelled, so cancelling early can leave nothing to copy or roll back to.
